Step into the glamorous world of 1930s Kansas City with amateur sleuth Miss Deloris Markham. Befriending bootleggers, police officers, and everyone in-between, feisty Miss Markham proves there’s no such thing as an unsolvable mystery when she’s around!
These fun-filled mysteries are inspired by true-life historical events, and by characters from my Miss Kansas City Kitty and Mrs. Kansas City Kitty books. I wrote these books with a co-author, under the pen name Juliet E. Sidonie.
The first Miss Markham Mystery is Murder Among Friends and will be released this fall. We have more books planned for this cozy historical mystery series. Visit our new website at MissMarkhamMysteries.com.
Coming Soon - A New Mystery Series!
I am coauthoring a new mystery series set in 1930s Kansas City. Our detective is loosely based on Doris Markham.

"From World War II to the Run of the Year" describes the life and times of Benny Scott as he serves during World War II, and then enters college in Arkansas, where he found love and fame by running 125 yards for the 1949 Run of the Year.
Doris Markham's story takes you back to Kansas City in the 1930s and 1940s as well as rural Missouri living at the turn of the twentieth century. Join Doris on her escapades through three marriages and a dozen boyfriends.
This book is a continuation of stories in the life of "Miss Kansas City Kitty." As the book opens, Doris is married to her third husband, Martin Swinney, and has a ready-made family. There will be highs and lows, good times and bad in Doris's life as the years go by.
